My workaround is to save-as to PDF, then print from the PDF. I have seen that some people use Win32 Vector Print to do this, but for me it results in the following message showing up, and does not actually print the item to the control panel.

It results in all vectors coming in as raster images, which does not work to cut or vector engrave materials. My laser engraver software (Universal Control Panel) does not accept regular printing from Inkscape.
